History of Rock and Roll is a course designed to familiarize the student with the history of American popular
music. Prominent musical genres, groups, and artists each era, beginning from the early source origins will be explored.
Classroom activities will include listening, analyzing, songwriting, class discussions, research and presentations. Priority
will be given to seniors needing a fine arts credit.

This course is for students interested in the technological aspects of music production. Students will analyze, compose,
arrange, record, and mix music of all genres. Students will learn the underlying principles of music and music production
through the use of computer software and other technological devices.

This course is for students with an interest in the in-depth study of music analysis, composition, and arranging. Students
will analyze written music, notate music purely by listening, and sight-sing various melodies. Students enrolling in this
course are required to take the AP Music Theory exam.
